Services

I offer a range of medication management services to meet your needs. Please see below for more information on a few of my areas of focus.

  • Anxiety and depression are two of the most common mental health conditions. Anxiety refers to feelings of worry, fear, and unease that are disproportionate to the situation. It can manifest as panic attacks, social anxiety, PTSD, OCD, etc. Depression refers to persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and lack of interest in activities. Both anxiety and depression can range from mild to severe, often co-occur, and can significantly impact one's day to day life.

The good news is there are effective treatments available, including medications and talk therapies, that can help people cope with and overcome their symptoms. With the right diagnosis and treatment plan, people can go on to live full, happy, and productive lives.

  • ADHD or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder is a neurodevelopmental disorder that impacts daily functioning and quality of life. People with ADHD struggle with focus, concentration, organization, task completion, impulse control, and restlessness. Their symptoms interfere with school, work, and relationships.

Fortunately, ADHD is manageable with a combination of medication for symptoms, and therapy for behavior management and life skills. While ADHD cannot be cured, most symptoms can be successfully alleviated. The key is developing coping strategies, routines, reminders, and habits to stay on track. With treatment and self-care, an ADHD diagnosis does not have to hold anyone back from living a full and happy life.

  • Members of the LGBTQ community face unique mental health challenges and disparities. They experience higher rates of anxiety, depression, substance abuse, and suicidal thoughts compared to the general population. This is often due to facing discrimination, cyberbullying, physical violence, unsupportive families, and lack of acceptance. Issues may include managing minority stress, improving self-esteem, and coping strategies in the face of stigma. Many in the community experience family and relationship issues, coming out challenges, anxiety around HIV/AIDS, and exploring gender identity or sexual orientation.

With support, members of the LGBTQ community can build connections, improve relationships, reduce distressing symptoms, and celebrate their identities.

  • Addiction is a chronic disease that affects both the brain and behavior. When someone is addicted to a substance or activity, they feel an uncontrollable craving to seek it out despite the negative consequences. Common addictions include alcohol, nicotine, drugs, prescription medications, gambling, sex, food, shopping, and the internet. Addiction causes changes in the brain that make it very difficult for the person to quit on their own. It can impact anyone and in all areas of life causing relationship, health, financial, and legal troubles.

But the good news is addiction is a treatable medical disorder. With compassion and support, people can successfully manage addiction and build healthy, fulfilling lives.
